Chars:

- classes: elementalist, mesmer, monk, necromancer, ranger, warrior (these 6 classes are in all 4 parts of GW). Additionally assassin and ritualist in Factions; and dervish and paragon in Nightfall
- u choose ur primary class but u can also choose a secondary class so that u use the skills of these both classes. When u reach lvl 20, u can freely change between ur secondary classes
- in the game r 2 kinds of chars – PVE and PVP. With the PVE char u start at lvl 1 and u can play PVE and PVP with it. With the PVP char u start at lvl 20 but u can use it only for PVP
- if u have 2 or more parts of the game, and if u have created a char in Factions for example, u can use the same char in Nightfall too

Armors/Weapons

- there r many kinds or runes and stones for upgrading of armors and weapons. U can buy (from NPCs) or produce armors and weapons (at NPCs) by collecting materials. U also can dye ur armors in different colours so that u look in a unique way. There r also tattoos u can use in the game. BTW ur char can use all possible weapons, it is not like in AL where for example an archer can use only bow or a crossbow. In GW an archer can use other weapons than bow as well but only the bow (in our example) will give him/her the whole freedom to use his/her archer skills
- armors r specialized only for the char that made them. Differently than weapons, armors cannot be used by other chars. So don’t buy armors from other players because u cannot use them.
- the white and the black dyes are very valuable, dont sell them
- if u have already upgraded ur armor/weapon with stones (there r so many different kinds of stones called runes, insigna, inscription, etc) and u find after that a better stone, u can replace the old stone by the new one, or separate the old one from the armor/weapon. It is not like in Al where u need a coplete new armor.

Skills

- in PVP u can change ur build and skills u use regarding the class u r pvp-ing. For example if u have success pvp-ing an archer with an particular build, that doesn’t mean that u can pvp an dervish with the same success. So u can change ur build and active skills every time u pvp different classes. The change of the build doesn’t cost anything
- there r regular and elite skills. The elite skills r something special but I don’t know a further info about that

Parties

- u can party with friends or NPCs who help u with quests. At the beginning there can be only 4 ppl in the party, at higher levels there can be 7 or 12 ppl in the party.
- during the playing u will get several NPCs chars (so called heroes) that u can use in ur party. That heroes can play with u and help u at quests. They start also at lvl 1 and develop, gathering xp. They also get new skills and u can choose what skills they can use. U also can control them, to send them to fight, or to protect u, to let them wait at a place, etc…

- there r 2 kinds of quests – primary quests and secondary quests. The primary quests build the story of the game and u need to complete them to develop further. The secondary quests, u don’t have to do them but they help u to gather new levels and to be able to accept the new primary quests that u will get at every new lvl. An disadvantage is that u cannot see at the map which NPCs have a quest for u, so u need to run through the city and look if that NPCs have quests or not. Another option is to print the list of the quests from internet. There r also elite quests that can be made only in a group of 12 ppl. That quests r in a dungeon somewhere in the world of GW. U get as reward valuable elite items.

Other

- there r treasure boxes in the world of GW and if u find a box, u can open it with a key that u have bought at the merchant. Usually in the boxes r some good items. Like in AL, each weapon or armor has its color – white is for the worst quality, then blue, purple, gold, and green is for the best quality.
- there r some tools for identification and re-use (I am not sure in the translation as my game is in german) that u can buy at the merchant. The identification set can identify some of the armors and weapons that r not identified, in other words the stats of that items r hidden. Through the re-use set u can transform some of the drop-items into resources for the production of armors and weapons.
- at the merchant u can also buy bags for enlarging of ur inventory
- a disadvantage is that there is no item traider

Guild

- there r also guilds that can be made, with own flag and cloak. Each guild can build its own guild hall (castle) if it has enough gold. In that castle the guild members can meet, talk, have events or just be afk. In the castle can be organized also PVPs and GVGs. Hm, I am reading now, it is not only a castle but there r also landscapes and buildings that can be built by the guild. It sounds really good.

PVP

- Regarding PVP there is an arena where u can make PVP or just watch how other pvp. U can pvp 1 vs 1 or in group vs group. If u have a PVP char and if u win at these PVPs, u get bonus points that u can use later to get a new skill or runes for upgrading of ur armors/weapons. If u get that bonus points with ur PVE char, ur PVE char cannot use that skills and runes but u can keep them and send them to ur PVP char. There is so much more info about PVP and arena fights and several kinds of arenas but I think I will read this the next time
